We configured a series of structural alumiunum supports, affording the customer a series of large dimension insulated glass windows which lent an additional layer of openess to the feel of the room. The homeowners opted for a tempered glass fixed window set below the chair rail, affording them more visibility and light penetration. And two Prime doors with dead bolts and keylocks keeps eveything as secure as any rear entry door.

The horizontal insulated glass windows are remarkably solid and well constructed. They come with easy to operate locks, and roll open with ease, unlike many single hung windows. And horizontal OX and XO glass windows are available in sizes up to around 6' by 6', again, unlike many single hung windows. Tallahassee Outdoor Kitchen

All Custom Aluminum is proud of our recently completed project in Tallahassee. This screen room included a solid roof which was an insulated, walkable composite roof sytem which exceeded the wind load rating of the house itself. It compresses all the features of your ceiling, insulation and roof into a building material which is both compact and lightweight, while being energy efficient enough to earn the Energy Star seal. Did we mention the installation took only a couple of days?

Rustic Screen Room

Interestingly, the home was moved to the property and featured on the show Mega Movers. The homeowners needed an area free from the bugs, but didn't want to compromise the look of their beloved log home. How Strong are Aluminum Screen Rooms?

Aluminumn Screen Enclosures are required by law to be constructed to the same wind loads as the host structure. In Florida, those wind loads were adjusted in the 2010 Building Code, which was adopted recently and began effect on March 15 2012. In North Florida, particularly the Tallahassee area, wind zones were increased by 10 mph. Many 110 mph wind zones were increased to 120 mph. Likewise, in Wakulla County, most 120 mph zones were increased to 130.

Moreover, Building Departments require sealed engineered drawings to accompany permit submissions for screen rooms and pool enclosures. What Makes an Aluminum Screened Patio Better?

If you have ever taken notice of a screen room or patio which is constructed from wood components, you have probably seen the following: sagging, loose screen being blown by the wind between vertical posts spaced between 16" and 4' on center. Maybe you were lulled by the rythmic flappedy flap of the screens as they strained against their staples? We kid, but seriously, an aluminum patio enclosure has many advantages over wood framed installations, and the differences don't stop with the screens.

First, aluminum is light but strong, and able to span greater distances than wood. Also aluminum will never warp or rot, two reasons many wood frame screen rooms show their age prematurely. Third, aluminum components are powder coated through an electrostatic process which creates a finish which lasts a lifetime, and requires very little maintenance. And as we stated, sagging, floppy screen will be a thing of the past with an aluminum patio enclosure. That is because modern aluminum extrustions come with a flat spline groove around the entire perimeter of your screened opening. This "flat" spline will not push or fall out of the groove, enabling your screens to stay tight for years to come. And the grooves mean that changing out one ripped screen is a simple, inexpensive propostion.

Mr. Burroughs recently retired from a long and distinguished career at Leon County Growth Management, the last twenty years of which were spent as Director of Building Inspection. It was determined during layout that the pool deck and outbuilding were not perpendicular with the host structure, making for a more challenging design. We were able to conform the mansard roof system to accommodate the trapeziodal configuration of the slab by adding in length to the horizontal divisions in even increments across the entire enclosure. Finally, we were able to recommend design options other companies didn't, like our 1.5# density composite roof system, and thus earn the business of one of the most well respected Regulators in the Industry.

Vinyl Pane Patio Enclosure in Lakeshore Area of Tallahassee

All Custom Aluminum designs, sells, and installs, patio and screen enclosures, greenhouses, awnings, sunrooms, and a host of other outdoor living products. We are proud of our latest project in the Lakeshore neighborhood of Tallahassee, FL. The customers opted for the vertical 4 track style vinyl pane windows for a number of reasons. First, enclosing with vinyl pane windows does not create "habitable" space as far as the tax man is concerned. So your patio still remains a patio, technically, even though the windows insulate as well as single pane glass.

Moreover, the 4 track configuration allows 70% air flow when all the way open, compared to about 40% for traditional style windows. And, of coarse, vinyl pane widow sashes are all removable in minutes, a process which converts the room back to a screened area. Just store the sashes and reinstall them when needed. Whats more, because each vinyl pane window is manufactured for you, they can be made to mount into any existing screened porch or patio.
